How do you reconcile this...

65 percent of the players surveyed experienced “severe harassment,” which includes “physical threats, stalking and sustained harassment” while gaming online.”

Remember folks the ‘people are dicks online?! Quelle surprise and toughen up’ hot pocket take is still a form of victim blaming.

Because it doesn’t create a fun experience for anyone. I don’t want to micro-manage other people while i’m trying to play a game. It’s one of the main reasons why I don’t play online games anymore.

If the *only* reason to use other weapons is because you’re locked out of using what you’d otherwise want to use, someone made a mistake in the design process.

Might be on the bad side of this opinion but hopefully the sequel is a little more forgiving on the weapon/shield breaking stuff. I’m not saying get rid of it entirely but maybe have weapons/shields take a few more hits before breaking or have a way of repairing stuff.

Yeah, when I read that I was reminded of the line “don’t piss on my leg and tell me it’s raining.” Their argument is just obvious willful ignorance.

So it’s an inferior version of a Nintendo game I already have with significantly worse controls that wants me to pay repeatedly for just to unlock things.

I mean if that is true, maybe you shouldn’t have based your monetization strategy, therefore player progression, therefore game balance as a whole on selling loot boxes to kids.

Sounds like reasonable-fucking-requests to me.

I’ve got a random, rather pointless story but I’ll post it because Internet comments are the best place for such a thing. It’s extra pointless to read this if you aren’t the article’s author :) Last May I had to go to Connecticut and decided to take a day for myself so before driving home I went up to New Hampshire to

Wow and go figure, the comments are still toxic. People are never happy anymore. I can’t remember a single instance where a company did this and yet people are still being negative Nancy.

Well, this is rather stupid.  Smashing a record distinctly implies a large margin between the new record and the old record.  A single frame, by definition is the smallest margin possible, so you’re either lying with your headline or you don’t know what you’re talking about.  I can’t decide which one’s worse.

Doesn’t say he’s yelling but article also says multiple people reported him doing it so must have been looking for some attention. He got the attention and society corrected him.

I’m torn between saying they shouldn’t have attacked him, and saying he totally deserved it.

I don’t hate olimar as a character, I don’t hate that he’s fast or has a strong kit. I hate that olimar’s animations are all so similar and snappy it’s hard to tell what he’s doing most of the time. and I have to just watch the pikmins movements instead. So visibly, you’re not playing olimar, you’re playing pikmins

Cool kids had one of these bad boys

More like a person with legs telling a person without legs that they should not take the stairs.

I’m not sure what the purpose of this post is. Yes, Nintendo can do whatever they like. And yes, people can express if they don’t like what Nintendo is doing.

They did this for a time too. The final nail in the coffin for items were the containers - even if you banned the more busted items like Power Stars or Bob-Bombs, the containers themselves could randomly explode when thrown or hit, and there was no way to determine which ones would.
