First: what? Nobody checks the serial numbers on paper bills against a global database of every theft ever committed in history. A big stack of cash money is very keep-able and very usable.
Even if it is serialized, the chance that someone scans the bill for that number is virtually 0. There is also no proof that you originally 'stole' the money at the point of sale anyway, you could say you got it as change somewhere else.
Like all concepts, they look cool and yet every single one is full of horrendous problems, in this case likely very horrific and interesting deaths for the people using them.
