That show was so good!

I’ve seen women’s sports reporters tie themselves in knots when an athlete is apparently marrying her girlfriend, but no one has made “the big announcement” so they don’t know how to report it (even though they would quickly mention it for a straight teammate).

Yeah, there aren’t many out bi people in Hollywood, which is honestly part of the reason I like Amber Heard. It seems to be changing slowly, which is nice.

Yeah, completely! I was still attracted to him even knowing that he was gay. He was an excellent romantic lead in Pushing Daisies and that was after Wonderfalls, where he had sexy fun with Jane’s bestie.

I agree. I thought it was common knowledge, and he has always been my go to when refuting claims that being gay can hurt an actor’s attractiveness to women. My friends and I all have massive crushes on him because we all understood that what was really standing in the way of him marrying each of us sister wives style

HW honchos already refrain from casting openly queer actors in straight roles, unless your name is Jodie Foster. I don’t really see how ensuring queer actors get first crack at queer roles will make that any worse.

The thing is, straight people ARE mostly bad at playing gay. It’s in the movements and body language. They seem gay to straight audiences, but queer audiences can tell it’s not right.

“Jennifinger” is a stroke of true genius.

I think the problem with this argument is that it makes secretly unspoken assumptions:

But there are so few queer roles out there right now. And plenty of great queer actors. Those few queer roles should first be offered to one of those many great queer actors.

I think the first one is also a reference to the fact that she might have more luck in love if she dates an actual fish instead of a man who just drinks like one. BOOM.

Are you and Jennifer dating now? Bobifer. Jennifinger.

But I’m not here to make friends. I’m here for the right reasons: to tell you how this show is really made and explore why we keep tuning in, season after season.”

I’d actually disagree with the premise that the kids shouldn’t be able to tell your political leanings. Our student body generally leans pretty far to the right, but I’m up front with my progressive political views. If students wish to talk politics with me, my goal is to provide a model of civil discourse not easily

a. It’s not the same as Weimar. We’re much more like The US during The 1920s with a Muslim Scare instead of a Red Scare, Trumpism mirrors The Second KKK, and there’s a strong move to weaken social safety nets.

I’m pretty sure I could have done the same around an election. I could have said positive and negative things about Obama, McCain, and Romney. So, no issues with that..

“They don’t want to be seen as a bigot, racist, whatever you want to call it. I honestly don’t care.”

I’m going to need you to explain what you mean by “political leanings.”

This was kind of a descending story to read through. When I first read the headline, I was pondering if it is okay to out teacher’s political leanings in articles if they didn’t have anything to do with their jobs. Then I read the article and found myself more and more baffled by her actions. I mean she was bragging
