This is absolutely stupid PR for Tesla to tussle with one of the most well-respected federal investigative bodies, especially when there’s an image of their product chopped in half and their play is to blame the driver before a full investigation is in.

Uhm, is this a Freudian slip of sorts? Because that headline seems to be 100% spot on if it were actually directed at Tesla instead.

focus on the safest cars in America

I was just thinking their complaint amounts to being pissed off that there’s an investigation into something that happened, and they aren’t able to put their own spin on it first. Pretty much the only thing they forgot is the “NO COLLUSION!”.

...the automaker accused the investigators of being “more concerned with press headlines than actually promoting safety.”

And if there’s one company* that’s “more concerned with headlines” than with safety...

That’s some rich irony coming from a hype machine like Tesla.

somebody gonna be peanut buttah and jelly when i get my new bronco!!

That’s not how this works.

Tesla is making claims they can’t back up before the NTSB finishes their investigation. They’re yelling first to get their narrative out front.

don’t forget the Yanks-Baltimore brawl in 98 that one escalated when the bullpen got there.

I miss The Farns.

Most fouls happen off an attempt to clear a ball. Doesn’t make them not a foul.

After the split

Was he too inconsistent for Arsenal, or was he too inconsistent because of Arsenal? Chicken or Egg here, chicken or egg....

He’s like a Ken doll, but with less screen presence.

The jog is the best part.

Wait.... the Red Sox overreacted to slide that wasn’t that dirty. So shocking! I wonder if they’ll hold a grudge for the remainder of the year and try to throw at Austin. I feel like I’ve heard this story before.

I don’t think that autopilot can be blamed for failing to take an active measure that would prevent a collision (such as swerving or braking)
