I mean... Alonso is 4th in the driver standings right now ( ahead of Raikkonen, Ricciardo and Verstappen ) and McLaren is 3rd among constructors, not that I expect either of them to stay there for long. So he wasn’t wrong.

I usually harp on Ericsson for not quite being good enough for F1 and I still think he isn’t, but he was impressive today. If he strings a few of these together I might just be forced to change my opinion of him.

It looks pretty miserable. I think they need to partner with an OEM in order to turn it around. They just don’t seem to have the money nor the ambition to fight alone anymore. I can’t see any other OEM’s joining the series though. Not under the current formula at least.
It was sponsored, commercial free, by Mother’s polish. Next race will be sponsored without commercials as well.
Only took 3 years. Clearly VTEC ain’t what it used to be.
Williams has 2 mediocre drivers, 2 uncompetitive cars and the 2nd class version of the Mercedes PU. I’m not sure what they’re even showing up for ( other than sweet, sweet, pay-driver money ).
I’m not at all convinced that Red Bull + Honda > Mercedes or Ferrari. Honda has had exactly 1 good performance by 1 car under their belt this season. While that could be the start of a trend, it’s far too early to draw any conclusions.
It’s worth mentioning as well:
I can agree that it may not be best for McLaren in the long-run to go with Renault, but... the relationship between McLaren and Honda had become extremely toxic and had become inarguably a net negative for both parties. I think they both will benefit from discontinuing it.
I think the divorce was truly for the best both for McLaren and Honda.
They read part of it at least. More likely they don’t know much about geography or countries outside of the US ( most Americans are absolutely clueless about that shit ).
It says last year on it though, so it’s always from last year. That’s how information works on the internet. /s
Except they aren’t losing rights, nor is there any realistic danger of their beloved 2nd amendment being repealed, so the protest is meaningless.
West Germany hasn’t existed since 1990, so the graphic in that Twitter post sure as hell isn’t from last year ( it was ‘last year’ at some point, but not in 2018 ).
I didn’t see the whole clip, just the wide shot, so I didn’t see the close up.
I’m glad the Wondo’ scale only goes to five. 10% increments are for players who can qualify for the World Cup!
Red Bull - both the company and the team - has a lot more money than Gene Haas does. Red Bull aren’t exactly small potatoes.
That joke doesn’t work when I quoted the other part.
Did he kick that with his left foot? Why would he do that in that position? Even a bad right footed shot would probably go in.
