The Daily Show is Canada: a sterling vision of what America could be, but without the power to make it matter.

Both moments are plausible in the context of the film.
Good point. The best acts DO tend to sell the most tickets, don't they?
I was impressed that he sang the song live. I shouldn't be impressed by that, but I was.
It is not only true, that cover may also be the superior version. Of course, Pompaloose's take throws two other great songs into the mix, so it's not a completely fair fight:
… that The Outer Limits originally wrote.
Nothing can "tarnish" BB, short of one of the actor's being involved in a heinous crime or something. Even if BCS completely fails, BB's legacy is secure.
Pinkman's MILF fetish was carelessly dropped after the first few episodes. What the hell, Gilligan!? Ruined the whole series for me. BCS is a chance to right this heinous wrong.
And none of the actors have gone on to appear in anything that doesn't just make me wish they were on Galactica.
It isn't completely dropped. They don't get so much into his accent again, true, but this episode is the first inkling of his "blue collar" past, which turns out to be quite a big deal.
I think Baltar doesn't have a large presence in this episode because he's having his own "boxing" moments in a lot of the other ones. He's constantly analyzing and coming to terms with people and conflicts. This episode is more for characters who don't so many moments to do that.
Oh, bull. It didn't "undo" anything, and the finale was perfectly in line with the entire series. Just because you didn't LIKE it doesn't make it so.
If you're not going to forgive shows for their finales, you aren't gonna forgive a whole lotta shows. I thought the finale is beautiful, but if it wasn't, who cares? It's the journey, not the destination.
You can only do the covert agent material so many times. They got as much as they could out of it with Boomer. Doing it again (FIVE more times!) would have been correctly seen as a retread.
Watching Galactica primarily for the space battles is like watching Mad Men because Draper's such a badass stud. It's OK to enjoy those aspects, but if viewers latch onto them myopically, they've been paying attention to the wrong things.
"Car crash"… that's just internet hyperbole. Even at the series worst it was quite watchable. If you think "The Woman King" (or whatever) is a car crash, you haven't seen a lot of TV.
I'll say it's some amazing show for you!
Above me are posts questioning the value of after-show discussions, stating that such discussions usually amount to little more than frivolous, repetitive circle-jerks unworthy of anyone's time.
I stopped watching negative-three shows before the premiere, so BAH!
