I think the main lesson is, you are way better off making the game you set out to make in 2-3 years, than trying to pivot mid development and taking 4-6 years.

Making money isn’t the be all end all. Even with endless options, there are plenty of arguments to be made that the impact of unfettered capitalism on film and music have impacted the quality of both in some horrible ways.

I’m shocked, I tell you, SHOCKED that the first game they are putting on Gamepass from Activision/Blizzard is a game with a real money shop and battle passes. 

Funnier than all of this, is after all the Activision Blizzard hype, hey Gamepass users, have Diablo 4 at the end of March so we can milk you for battle passes and in the cash shop!

The have had some studios do some interesting stuff, I don’t care about open worlds or AAA, but give me a game that kicks ass and holds my interest for more than a couple days.
