I remember talking with my UPS pick up driver about that, he was in a “loaner” truck while his was gettin a new transmission. He had been with them 18 years and that his truck had had  4 engines, 5 transmissions and 3 rear ends so far. That they run them until it is structurally compromised and the to the crusher.

There front ends are crap! We routinely see 60/70K trucks will play in all four ball joints, hub bearings out and heaven forbid you get a death wobble and try to sort that out..........

I wish this was true. I was a early fan and ordered one. Three years ago we were to get our cars. I own a really pricy T-shirt and bumper sticker for my deposit. I doubt the car will ever see production

I am the GM of a small group of tire centers. Sadly many people know they need tires they just can’t afford them. People buy cars / trucks and never consider the routine maintenance cost. They finance it to the hilt and try to make it to tax time or bonus time. These are not folks driving sub prime beaters.…

This is not just a electric car problem it plagues Ram’s 2500HD Diesels as well. Owners complain of 18/23k out of a set of tires. Have tried multiple brands with little luck. Super high torque is a tire killer.

My personal preference is a 13 speed. These are all really easy to shift compared to a duplex (2 sticks) or a triplex (3 sticks) that you find in some older heavy haulers. Those are insane to grasp the shifting technique

People buy payments not price. As long as they can get that payment where they need it to be they don’t care about the real price. I’m in the tire business and I am amazed at the people who go to these rent to own tire places and will pay 3x up to 5x the cost to be able to make weekly payments instead of saving that…

Any Asian 5 speed sedan. Easy to drive and they can learn how to work three pedals like a proper driver should.

Trust me as someone in the tire business, they are not having a good day. People come in to tire shops because they have to and when this stuff happens they are pi$$3d off.
