The waistband on Hodiak's suit is way too low to be accurate! It's a concession to NOW. A '67 or '68 suit would be navel height waistband, not pube height!
completely irrelevant to the plot etc. discussion, but i keep being bugged by Hodiak's slacks—yes the waistline of a '67 or '68 suit was lowered to navel height—but not as low as they've got it, which is a current look. Check this Tony Perkins from that era:
