That’s what I thought, too. And then the follow-up article came out.

My tongue was firmly planted in my cheek. Thus, the ‘mostly’s.

That contradiction is basically what JakeyKakey and I are talking about. The Doctor has killed a lot of people. “Fear me; I’ve killed hundreds of Timelords.” “Fear me, I’ve killed all of them.”

So the fact that the Doctor gets so hung up on guns feels as hypocritical as Batman getting hung up on guns, although Batman

Yeah, but the Doctor admittedly doesn’t always handle those situations well. I’m thinking most vividly of poor Lt. Journey Blue from “Into the Dalek.”

She was married to a (mostly) sensible, (mostly) responsible gun-owner for 200 years, and Matt Smith even had a line about how River’s shoot-everything attitude should have bothered him more. Anyway, after years of River, it feels odd to have the Doctor revert back to Batman-levels of “no guns!”

So far this has been the most successful season of Doctor Who since the revival, so I don’t know what you mean by “just down to hardcore fans.” The audience during Capaldi’s last season was down to just the hardcore fans, and the viewing numbers reflect that.

Seconded.

“Yeah, I can’t believe a reviewer wrote up their feelings on the movie accurately?”

“That is an opinion and he is entitled to it, of course.”

You both said the exact same thing.

WHY WOULDN’T THEY SHOW HIM PLANTING THE FLAG??????

The cholesterol level is a little concerning.

I might have to try this because watching iZombie always makes me hungry.

But that episode where Homer refuses to give Gramps a kidney did give me several great catchphrases for long road trips.

But I like all three of those things. It’s like “The Inheritance Cycle” (aka Eragon), which my friends are always shocked to learn that I enjoyed. It’s Star Wars + Dragons, in other words, super derivative but also two things that I love. So I don’t care that it’s mediocre at best.

Also, we were all so damned depressed because of the global recession. We were primed to jump on any bandwagon that came along.

On the contrary, the recasting was totally necessary after last season. And it fits perfectly within the storyline of a Doctor on the brink of suicide who needs a serious change; ergo, not pandering.

Kindly, fornicate away from this region.

I still want the Doctor to destroy him with just four words though.

I mean, you’re right. Amber should just replace Seth as the host, or get her own show. But in the meantime, I’d rather have these segments than no Amber.

I dunno. I saw someone on Facebook about an hour ago bring up the flag thing.

I just wanna say, “I love your username.”

Okay, look, dude. I know what you’re trying to say, but you can’t say using privilege as a verb is unusual and then in the same sentence say that privilege as a verb is used to describe pretty much anything and everything.
