Yeah, the current credit is a non-refundable credit, so you can only get as much credit as your total tax liability for the year. It’s not an instant discount, but it’s certainly a consideration for buyers. Also, that it’s not an instant discount makes it even LESS likely that the Silverado would be priced so much

Definitely a consideration, but $30,400? No chance. That’s basically the same price as the absolute cheapest, regular cab, stripper Silverado. Further, they wouldn’t risk pricing it that low anyway. They’ll price it just below the Lightning for MSRP and then discount it, if anything... like the Bolt, which was

I was talking about Rivians.

If they’re just making crap up for the list, can I put in the Elio Pickup?

Excuses for the $39,999 CT going away

the cybertruck absolutely will not start below 40k.   they announced that price back before they jacked the price of the model 3 by 8k.   you know that one isnt staying that low for production.

I’d be interested to know where the $30,400 number came from for the Silverado. The Lighting is listed as $39,970, which is the pre-tax credit price, so do they really think a Silverado will be $30,400 BEFORE tax credit. If the $12,500 credit passes, it will be $18k? Cheaper MSRP than the Bolt? $9k cheaper than the

For me, I’d say the daily plan is to just use energy from the grid over night in hopes what I generate during the day covers what I use at night. We don’t have time based billing, so 100 kwh at noon is 100 kwh at 6 PM. It’s just a matter of finding where net zero is and purchasing enough panels to cover that need.

If you’re seriously in an emergency situation, in my experience with hurricanes, you really aren’t going anywhere. If you do, you might go a few minutes up the road, but again, you have a battery large enough to support a more or less fully functional household for about two days without any sort of solar. It can

That sounds about as much fun as pretending to have sex... ;-)

Volkswagen didn’t give figures on how long the ID.5 can power a full house, but assume it’s a short duration — don’t rely on it for your next big storm.

Just more electrified unobtainum that the masses won’t be able to afford.

As ze Germans say:

The variety and uniqueness of VW’s product line is truly impressive, I can absolutely tell the difference between an ID.4 and and ID.5 or whatever

You can pretend.

I think his tire pressure was off by 0.4 psi.

There’s more to practicality than the style of trunk opening. Have fun getting a child seat in the back of the Toyobaru, or even telling some grown ass adults to sit in the back for more than 20 minutes.

I guess if you need that added utility, you’d grab the Civic Si. It’d probably be a slightly more comfortable and practical daily car. (Easier to get dogs in and out of, etc.

I couldn’t find a Civic Si within reasonable dealer swap distance so I bought a Kia Forte GT for $22K last December. I feel like I got a huge bargain considering it’s similar HP, weight, performance and quality. I’ve had it on the track and it was more than decent. $6K is a pretty huge gap... for what? Maybe a little

If this was Porsche, it would cost $2100 more for the privilege removing equipment.
