Supposedly, Mercedes offers cloth as an available option - even on top models. At least, that is what they claimed after Pamela Anderson tried to sue Mercedes over her leather-clad G500!

Agree with you there. I don’t comprehend the negativity when the author absolutely has to mention his opinion on what he feels is poor mileage. I grew up with one or two Suburbans in my family. They hauled us, our stuff, the dog, and towed the boat without complaint.

Safety (airbags, traction control) has increased, as well as weight!

Actually I had heard from speaking to a RAM salesman, that it *is* possible to get that bench in the Longhorn Laramie, but by special order .. and the 3 month wait .. with the deposit.

Hmmmmmm .. nope.

We can have the LS, but not the base? Or is the base (Cheyenne?) still available through special order theough dealer only?
