TIL that Rooster Teeth was owned by fucking Warner Bros?!

I had absolutely no idea Red vs Blue was still around.  Thought for sure that ended some time not longer after Halo 3 came out.

Maybe I’m missing something (if I am, I’m sure tons of people will be all too happy to point it out to me), but I don’t see anything petty or “dunking” about that tweet. This isn’t a both-sides story – Apple is the problem here.

David Zaslav is a cancer that will destroy anything remotely creative if it doesn't give his precious shareholders a chubby in terms of profit

Dude is addicted to taking bi-weekly, leaping stomps on his own dick.

Every day we are on this earth, that piece of trash elon musk continues to make himself look more and more like a giant asshole.

I’m sure we’re in good hands, what with this exciting new tech being stewarded by billionaire tech bros who maintain remote compounds* just in case their stewardship leads to mass revolts/uprisings.

The simplest and most obvious explanation: Musk was salty it wasn’t his toy anymore and if he couldn’t have it, no one else could.

Good. He can go fuck himself.

The emails reveal Musk was originally on board with making the startup less open-sourced and profitable, even though he is now suing OpenAI for those reasons. The key difference is that Musk is no longer in charge.

Is anyone really surprised to learn this?

Once these guys started a discord and patreon the writing was on the wall. If they had operated like the old days they could have gotten away with it but not when you start making money and hosting an area for people to share shit.

Exactly - just because they hid the button that opens the thing doesn’t mean the thing is secure. Secure devices can’t be opened even if you know where the button is.

Tech security should not be exploitable. That’s the point.

This whole deal, is, by far, the dumbest fucking thing I’ve ever seen in my 34 years of existence. What in the actual fuck is this, and what kind of absolute fucking imbecile would pay for any of this? What is this for? What is the purpose? What are you even “playing”?

Working “on task regularly and continuously” is not the same as doing valuable work that contributes to a company’s goals or (more importantly in my opinion) fulfills the goals and skillset of the employees themselves. I’m primarily in project based work so some days I have 10 hours of stuff to do, some days I have 2

People only now are concerned about the work/life balance for Rockstar? It’s a long running joke in the industry that if you have friends that work there, you will not see them again for years until the game ships.

They expect me connect to their server EACH TIME I launch Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC, yet they won’t allow their employees to work using a remote access... (Yes, I’m being salty about Rockstar Games’ DRM.)

The company’s head of publishing said there are ‘tangible benefits’ for in-person work”
