Yup, this works, and as you said it usually annoys them. Additionally, if they are adamant about getting that information, it’s a good time to just say you’re no longer interested, thank them for their time and leave. That will usually change their tune quickly. If it doesn’t it’s probably not a business worth dealing

Non car enthusiasts with kids have this irrational drive for AWD. It’s absurd. As one of the biggest jalops in my family, whenever someone asks what car they should get, the discussion eventually turns into AWD/SUVs being safer than everything else and logic and reason go out the window along with the engaged look
