Synthetic oils and manufacturer covered maintenance plans have pushed oil changes to longer intervals. Every expert I have asked (independent BMW and Mini shops) have recommended that oil changes be performed at half the recommended interval.

I haven't rented many tools because they often cost more than buying a tool for the duration of the job. When I can't borrow a tool for free, I try to buy used tools from Craigslist or eBay. When I'm done, I flip it and usually sell it for around the same price, sometimes more.
I literally just got back from an old school arcade with tons of old games like this. They didn't have Mega Man, but they did have stuff like Ninja Gaiden, Battle Toads, Shinobi, Ghosts n Goblins, Contra, etc. Those games are damn hard.
