If employers do not pay a wage that allows their workers to live, we the people step in and do so in the form of welfare, wic, EBT, sponsored housing, medicaid, etc.

Pity that the people getting the wage increase are going to jealously horde every penny and drive to other states to spend it all. All those wages, lost because mean ol’ workers will refuse to spend any of their income in the area they work and live.

Right - these businesses aren’t closing because of an increase in minimum wage, they are closing because they don’t want to make the necessary changes to their business in order to compensate for the increase. Cost of living increases over time, so any employer should expect an increase in the minimum wage over time

my permanent motto for this is simple:

If everyone is making $20 an hour, then they can afford to raise their menu prices to cover the hike because more people will be able to afford to eat out.

I’d rather drive 200 miles continuously with the peace of mind that I’ll always get 200 than have 400 degrade to 200 over time. I could foresee myself getting stranded often if I followed that higher expectancy of range.

They’d ride all day, then drink and shoot pool all night before following the tumbleweeds to the next town. My grade-school classmates had a massive reverence for the brand back then. I think

Counterpoint: how many of us would buy a huffy motorcycle?

so their strategy is to sell to kids so they can “have a HD just like dad” then the kids will go drive Honda, Yamaha, Kawi etc dirt bikes for ten years, build up a loyalty to whichever they “love” then suddenly decide that they need super expensive HD full size bikes ........... I don’t see it. especially when the

If I was a kid I would’ve bent the frame on this thing like it was a reed. That frame design will not hold up to a hard landing from three feet.

Goodbye Harley.  It was nice knowing you.
