I didn’t mind the end of the show as much as many seem to, but I’m with you on the “Meh, who gives a fuck?” aspect.

I contend he should have accomplished his 5 year time skip with winter. Maybe not the winter, but a winter so terrible it absolutely paused all political machinations would make sense.

Same- I read all of the books over the course of 2014 when I was first getting into the show, and I’m not sure I could tell you a damn thing that happened in ADWD. Every time one of those Alt-ShiftX videos goes up detailing plot points and theories and stuff, I think- did I even read this??

The first three books are great. I’d never been a big fan of epic fantasy, but they won me over.

I honestly don’t care about Winds of Winter anymore. It’s been 8 years since I finished A Dance of Dragons and I couldn’t remember most of the book only plot points if you put a gun to my head. I can’t be arsed working my way through a wiki to get refreshed on the plot points.
