As being a HUGE fan of emulation, I've been doing this on everything I've owned since the late 90s. Every new device I get, emulation is always in mind during purchase (why I don't own Apple stuff...). (PC,Xbox1,Dreamcast,PsP,Android Tab/Phone,Raspberry Pi, Wii...)

Everyone's suggesting all these home console Kirby games, but the series started on the Game Boy, so it'll always be a portable series to me. Kirby's Dream Land 2 was the first game I ever played from beginning to end as a kid. You can get it for $3.99 on the 3DS Virtual Console.
