This looks awesome. What’s actually going on in a lot of these GIFs is a side effect of the honey block’s small size. The player isn’t jumping up the honey so much as jumping off the thin edge of the block underneath. Pedantry aside though, I had written off the honey block as yet another slime block. Pleasantly

Seeing Blizzard’s own employees react against this decision has given me at least a spark of hope. The outrage is justified, but I also need to keep in mind that Blizzard is a huge company, comprised of countless individuals, and they don’t all share the same views. There is opportunity for learning and growth, and

Okay there is some context. Firstly, its basic transform ability is informed by the genetic makeup of the target, per Red / Blue:

Oh, I remember that! That’s with the fishing rod Colin gives you, which isn’t very interesting mechanically. I wouldn’t consider that the same as the proper Fishing Hole minigame, which you don’t gain access to until much later.

Now playing

I appreciate the respect for the classics, and of the Zelda minigames, Ocarina of Time’s incarnation was the correct choice. But as soon as you mentioned Fishing, this started playing in my head:

Oh dear. It happens to the best of us I suppose. Word order seems transposed in the middle, the headline should probably read:

I tend to invert both, but it’s because I think of the stick as the camera control. It’s not where I want my gaze to go, but where I want the in-game camera to go. That does mean I need *both* controls to be inverted though. If only one option is available, I’ll concede so that the inversion is at least consistent on

For this reason alone, the Pro controller is worth every penny. About the only game I use Joy-cons for is Celeste, and that’s mostly because the Pro controller’s D-pad isn’t as precise as 4 separate buttons. But I couldn’t possibly do a deathless run, because those 4 buttons are on the *left* joy-con, which means they

Luke, if this isn’t involved in the next photoshop contest in some way, I’m going to be deeply disappointed.

Okay you know, hot take: I’d much prefer they run this kind of stuff and get paid for it. Zack clearly *wrote this himself,* and it is far, far preferable to the nasty business Kinja Deals is doing, with is randomized CSS classes (making it impossible to hide with most ad blocking tools), autoplaying video, and

There are times that I like it, but I find the Wii U Pro controller much easier to hold for long periods of time. It’s an age thing; I think younger players’ hands might not get tired as quickly.

Wind Waker HD, which I’m currently re-playing in a foreign language for study purposes, is the primary reason my Wii U is still plugged in. I would *absolutely* buy it again on Switch, just to have it on the better console (without the awkward extra screen)

The UPC thing also assumes that the product being sold actually matches the UPC being claimed, which in the case of counterfeit items, it almost certainly does not. Even if it does, the problems reported by the article are different: because the seller seems to have a large degree of control over the wording of the

Nah, just some of us. Lots of people within the community disagree with me; several of them posted in this thread, and I’ve been starting them all day to make sure those arguments surface from the greys, so they can add their voices to the mix.

This is a fair point. And a lot of the reactions here seem to assume I’m defending Ion Fury’s response; I’m not. It’s been a clumsy, dumb mess. I should clarify this very strongly: It is primarily *Ion Fury’s devs* (publisher?) who I believe are overreacting here. Their response has generated this outrage; the joke

That’s still my point though. “OGAY” doesn’t read as hate speech to me. It reads as a funny joke name, which happens to reference an attribute I identify as. It’s on the same level as putting “King Burger” in a game because obviously reversing the words is a trademark. Being gay is totally normal and fine, so the word

Okay as someone who is actually gay, it’s going to take a *lot* more than an shampoo bottle to offend me. This is remarkably silly stuff going on. The level geometry thing miiight be a bit much, but honestly I’ve seen much worse stuff embedded by the developers into old Nintendo games. Crass humor isn’t by itself

Well, it’ll probably be specific to the Microsoft version of the game, not the original Java version that most people on PC actually play.

Yeah, this really needs to be clarified better in the article. You can’t transfer *the whole roster,* but anything from a past generation which appears in Sword and Shield should be able to transfer in from the Box system. It’s not going to be exclusively new stuff for the competitive scene.

> Doesn’t have motion controls as an option despite a bunch of animations look goofy without them.
