I solve this somewhat poorly by having short distractions. In particular, I find episodes of childrens shows (I’m a Steven Universe fan) to be particularly ideal, or any youtube series with shorter videos, maybe 7-15 minutes.

...What do we do if their target market is hotel owners?

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with GMOs either; it’s a more precise way to do what nature accomplishes by random chance. I’m all for it.

By itself, it’s not. When it *spoils* however, especially in the middle of a timelapse, and while surrounding an object you may or may not want to smell like rotten milk for the rest of forever...

In 2010, there were 3,999,386 babies born in the United States alone. That works out to roughly 10,900 babies born per day. Then you add up all the other countries.

I mean, there are plenty of folks in *real life* who are irritated with what gender they are, or what race they were born as, or how their body parts are shaped. I think it’s great to see a game stick to its guns in exploring that idea in an interactive medium. It’s a way, if limited in scope and a bit silly, to step

There are other problems with landing on land, not the least of which is securing travel over restricted airspace. No one wants to be the company whose rocket exploded mid-air and crashed into an elementary school. That, and the landing site itself needs to meet a whole bunch of criteria, and this includes which

I wonder how this is going to affect their OWN HOMEPAGE, which on my machine loads with 3 flash ads visible right from the start. Or are they going to give anything on a domain they own a free pass for that noise?

I was about to say, I don’t remember quicktime events until FF8, and even those were limited. (Squall’s gunblade being the obvious example, but there was also Zell’s limit break, which was a combo-based minigame.)

Really, this is the most correct answer to this question anyway. If there is a pedestrian on the street, and the car can avoid it, it should. Why? Because the pedestrian has *no airbags.* The passenger inside the car does (along with a seatbelt), and is therefore much safer (if only relatively) in the event of a

The best way to never get a speeding ticket is to simply not speed. Seriously. At some point early in my driving career, I realized that I lost more time to red lights than I ever did to an extra MPH or five on the freeway. It *feels* like you’re going a lot faster because you’re passing other cars, but the actual

Yup. Then the really challenging part becomes making sure that you know which face you’re painting, and how it fits into the mural at large, when you can only see a handful of the buildings around you. He’s got to have just an amazing map of the city in his head to keep track of it all.

Honest question: I never install antivirus software on my linux installs because it feels largely unnecessary. Say I were going to set up a linux install for a relative who wasn’t very tech savvy though. What antivirus solution would you recommend? (I mean, aside from the obvious things like setting them up without

It’s worth pointing out that this *also* allows charging the iPad from the USB-C brick that’s sold separately, the same brick which can charge the MacBook. And y’know, any other USB-C type port on any other device, not that I’ve seen many. (HP has one tablet out with the port that I’ve held in my hands, but everyone

Personally, I think paid mods is a wonderful idea if it’s done right. Skyrim is the biggest example of how *not* to implement things. In any case, the hard line engraved into the concrete with a wand of fire is this: the content in the mod MUST be entirely original, or properly licensed (ie, permission obtained in

“Some.”

I’d be perfectly OK for this, if it wasn’t for the existence of Earthbound, a game published by Nintendo, with a *major character* (one of the only 4 party members in the game) named “Poo” by default, and canonized as “Poo” in all of his cameo appearances across the Smash Bros. series. Nintendo clearly should take no

I always felt like gas stations were the sort of place this was *most* likely to happen, due to the high traffic and low recognition on the part of patrons who are often just passing through a town once. Why the exception? Is it purely because of the high cost associated with replacing the in-pump pay stations in so

I immediately thought, “why not just rig up a system to shoot the deer automatically if one is detec...” and had to stop myself.

You know, I’d like to think I wouldn’t miss a moose either, but I’ve also been tired. I’ve observed myself making just *stupid* mistakes while tired, and a lot of those were visual mistakes, things where I should have been perfectly aware of something, but it felt like my brain just blocked it out.
