So they're being caricatures of caricatures? That's like 3 levels deep of racism, I guess. Reminds me of the speech Robert Downey Jr. gives in Tropic Thunder about the dude playing a dude pretending to be another dude.

That's not really a source. More of a nebulous statement. Not saying you're wrong, but just saying "it happened" isn't exactly a valid argument to the contrary. =P

Again, if you say so. I'm just trying to have a conversation about it, and you're being a jerk, so it's hard to take your comments seriously. =\

It does? I'd have to disagree. Ignoring what he did and just speaking in generalities, using racial slurs does not make you a de facto racist. And ignoring the legitimacy of his excuse, it's not hard to imagine someone growing up around certain language and falling back on it in stressful times. Everyone that

Isn't ever character basically an exaggerated stereotypical representation of the culture they represent? Don't they have a leprechaun and a drunk Irishman? And like some giant Arabian dude (or had). It's all silly and weird and I don't think anyone that watches it thinks it's hateful or wrong.

If you say so, I'm not really in a position to argue that. I watched wrestling for years though, and I just don't ever remember thinking "that's racist". I remember some stuff being stupid, but never like blatantly hateful.

I would think that would make a lot of people racists, or at least occasional racists. I'm sure I've used a slur at some point. Maybe it was in the moment. I'm not sticking up for the guy, but I don't think he like actively hates black people.

So…you're telling me to google to prove you right? =\

Do you have sources to back that up? It's always seemed fairly inclusive to me. They've had racist parody characters and exaggerated stereotypical characters, but I don't remember them being racist.

I legitimately don't believe he is racist. I have no idea if he's a good person or anything like that, but I have a hard time believe someone so involved in such a flamboyant and diverse culture as wrestling for that many years would be racist. Granted, he may be, it's just hard to imagine.

The heck is going on with that kid's arm/hand? Is he trying to rip his pants pocket off?

The article says the trailer has porn spliced into it. That isn't true.

That's not a porno. It was the gay love scene from the original movie. The trailer was saying "Making lasting relationships" or something like that, and then showed the clip of the gay couple from the original movie having sex.

I like this movie. Watched it when it was on Netflix streaming. Showed it to friends. We all thought it was surprisingly good. That being said, it is too long.
