Yeah, I could never wash my underwear, bedding, towels or kitchen towels in cold water. How are you gonna kill all the bacteria? Maybe it’s an irrational European thing but this post didn’t address this, it’s still hot water for that in my house!

Agree. Another European here. I would have never dreamed of tipping a nail technician or a hair stylist, and I can understand how someone who doesn't understand the American culture of tipping would feel like they're being ripped off when they are informed that tipping is expected in those places.
