Self promotion doesn’t require very much intelligence, especially if you have no scruples or self doubt to get in the way. Plus many years of practice, and starting out with a ton of money and business connections from daddy certainly helps too.

I said this in an article about one of the various controversies last week...Trump’s only purpose for his 70 years on Earth was marketing himself.

Even better... he talks about the aircraft carrier and fighter savings which have nothing to do with the Coast Guard.
Yup, I was just listening, He delivered the most generic accolades to the work of the Coast Guard and then swiftly pivoted into a “woe is me” speech. And it went on and on. It was pretty fucking disgusting. He made their graduation about himself and his self-induced problems.

Right now he is giving an embarrassing commencement address at the Coast Guard Academy graduation. About 30% of it is about how great he thinks he is and all of his tremendous accomplishments and how he is the most persecuted president in American history. Completely tone deaf.
Finally understanding that the whole Cthulu mythos was an EXTREMELY RACIST ALLEGORY was the worst. Color me INTRIGUED by this idea to explore this side of Lovecraft.

Caprica, like so many series in that like 2 year stretch, decided to be slow plodding garbage fires up until the very end when they decided to get good and long after they had already strangled any chance of being renewed in its crib.
I wish the blood and chrome pilot / movie didn’t suck, or that Caprica had been a tighter series (I actually thought it was halfway decent by the end but it was just too damn slow) and this iteration of the franchise was still thriving. Any updates on the movies that were supposed to reboot things yet again? At least…
That is correct. The Confederates were traitors. You can’t fly the United States’ Flag with the Confederate flag and say you’re a patriot since the latter tried to destroy the former.
People pledging themselves to the Confederate cause and Confederate flag, that is treason though right? I mean the Confederate states were an entity and the people who pledge their support insist it still is an entity and the United was at war with them, and if they still exist as per the people supporting its flag…
