He would have to do more than reverse globalization. He’d have to also reverse the productivity gains that have been good for industries but bad for employment. Our manufacturing sector right now makes just as much stuff as it ever did in US history. It just makes it with a lot less people.

People who supported Trump based on jobs don’t understand how the world economy works. They must think he can single-handedly reverse globalization and return jobs to the US from China, Mexico, etc.

The culture of censorship surrounding unpopular opinions by the left has always been oppression.

I’m sorry- I’m wracking my brain, but when did anyone in the government shut down or stymie any of the hate speech trolling publications or individuals during the Obama administration? Maybe I need more coffee, but didn’t they sort of flourish in the last decade unfettered? I mean, yes people on the left publicly

It’s like the people that say, “both parties are equally bad and they both lie”. That’s like saying a bullet hurts, and stubbing your toe hurts. There are *levels* involved.

To me, this is the most alarming issue of anything he has done or has promised to do so far because all other issues will stem from it. If the media is restricted in covering him, and he thinks it’s okay to tweet his news and release self made videos, then he can’t be held accountable for anything he does: who he

It’s amazing to me how quickly the “mainstream media” has normalized this shit. Not even two weeks after the election, and still months before he’s sworn in, and fucking CNN is already waffling on whether it’s really fair to expect the leader of the free world to alienate his base by confirming that he doesn’t think

Don’t cross post this to Gizmodo.

Adrienne Keene of Native Appropriations has put up a good list of direct actions you can take. Money, as we head into a bitterly cold winter, would probably help winterize the camps.

This looks pretty awesome, although I can’t think of Obama in college without this:

We ghost because we’re too uncomfortable with being open and honest about our feelings.

It’s almost like Trump didn’t know being president is a 24/7/365 job or something.

I don’t see Trump voters lining up to oppose Steven Bannon, or Jeff Sessions, or any of the other racist, misogynist, unhinged candidates Trump is packing his cabinet with. And I have looked. Mostly they are saying that people are overreacting, that Trump doesn’t have a racism or misogyny problem, and that they’re

We must judge all Trump voters by the worst people in their group.

STOP calling them Alt Right!!! They are NEO NAZIS!! The fact that they’ve given themselves a harmless sounding name does not change what they truly are.

Not to generalize, but I’m sure most women who marry old sacks of crap like Trump are eventually hoping to be wealthy widows. Becoming First Lady must be the worst possible outcome for Melania.

Mike Pence is a piece of shit. One of the worst politicians I’ve seen in my time in Indiana and that, quite frankly, is saying something.
