The publicity, especially on this site, was fine. The problem was those who gave soft criticism or no criticism: those who repeated his words, amplified them, and let them pass without judgement. They made it seem like what he said was true, or had no real counterpoint.

The referendum is clear: Americans don’t like women in positions of power, and will vote for anything at all against that, given the choice.
