I’ve only watched a few Youtube demos, and the stagey parts look really cool, but the player is just holding down the joystick and bouncing off of things. What percentage of this game is actual gameplay, with challenges and tests of skill?

More checkpoints is always better than fewer checkpoints. Repetition in gaming sucks unless it’s really important the gameplay follows a certain rhythm. Checkpoints would not work in DDR, for example.

You should obviously get the version with the hotter professor, whatever your preferences may be.

The nice thing about Genshin Impact is that there’s always something to do between quests, events, map exploration, and grinding. At worst you have like a week of downtime before there’s new stuff to do. The down side is that there’s no point to the grinding besides the Spiral Abyss. I guess you could always choose to

Nah, they could have kept all the same gameplay mechanics, had a series of discrete levels like the original Shovel Knight, and maybe add random levels at the end as a bonus. Just my opinion.

Would’ve been ten times better if the rogue-like was replaced with actual level design.

I saw Dunkey’s video before I read the Kotaku article. I thought the video was one of his jokes, I didn’t realize it was serious until I read about it later.

Oh my god I thought that video was satire. Is Dunkey really congratulating himself for discovering Celeste and Cuphead? I like the guy but this is going to crash and burn so hard...

Various Daylife deserves an honorable mention for being the most boring ass looking game ever created. Harvestella looks legitimately good, though. I need to play the demo.

My takeaway from Manouach’s website is that the purpose behind OnePiece is to dramatically illustrate how fast capitalism dictates production needs to be to satiate the audience by compiling the entire epic into a single massive, imposing, physical “book.”

Rayman must be thrilled that this is what he’s reduced to.

Meanwhile Rayman is just slumped over in the corner.

I respect your honesty in actually coming out as a fascist instead of spewing some crap about “election integrity” or whatever.

You can’t gerrymander a governor’s race.

There’s an alternate timeline where 33,000 more Floridians bothered to vote in 2018 and we never had to hear DeSantis’ name again. Instead there’s a legitimate concern that he could become America’s president-for-life within the decade.

I’m pretty taken aback by how freaking huge Sumeru is. It’s a ton of fun to randomly poke around, but I am not looking forward to 100% completing it.

David S. Pumpkins?

Yes, the last four episodes take place after Breaking Bad.

It’s not nearly as bad as XC2. Screw those affinity charts.
