People will respond that the TV show is non-canon, but then what actually is canon?

This is an excellent article. I grew up with Bioware, I was around for the original Baldur’s Gate, and it is so sad to watch them go downhill like this. I know Nintendo fanboys get a lot of flack, but Nintendo is the only video game company from my childhood that never lost their magic.

I’m really worried that the indie scene doesn’t have enough Rogue-likes...Panzer Paladin looks pretty sweet though.

An application that consolidates your game launchers actually sounds pretty useful.

I can’t imagine how anybody was supposed to solve the Prison level without looking it up.

I recall in the original release of OoT, there was a bug where you could escape from the final battle and explore the world with everything messed up. I wonder what happens when just one of the two players is fighting Ganon and the other player is running around Hyrule.

So it’s basically Arkham City meets One Piece. Sounds pretty awesome, unfortunately it’s getting bad reviews so far.

I’ve found that the concept of “sparking joy” works well when you apply it to activities as well as things. Some work and home responsibilities you simply cannot get out of, but if a video game doesn’t spark joy, just ditch it. Same goes for friendships and hobbies in general.

Here are a couple more techniques that are helpful.

I’m sadly starting to realize that. Zelda and Mario somehow manage to keep staying interesting but accessible, I wish Pokemon could do that too.

I wanted a fundamental change to the gameplay. Like an open world structure. If you strip away the graphics and extra features this is basically still the same game as Red/Blue. Somehow the Zelda and Mario series manage to keep innovating while maintaining their core values, why can’t Pokemon do that?

I most certainly did not complain when Sun/Moon changed things up. I thought it was a step in the right direction.

Random battles, gyms, linear structure, fire/water/grass starter...as somebody who has been playing Pokemon since the beginning, I am underwhelmed. Maybe Nintendo has some amazing new details to share, but I am not optimistic.

Okay sure, that’s possible, but no credible scientists believe anything like that is going to happen in at least the next 100 years. That IPCC report that got everybody panicking last year? It predicts a 1-5% hit to global GDP in a 4 degree warming scenario. This isn’t a good situation, by any stretch of the

For what it’s worth, that movie was a worst case scenario. Climate change is going to be bad, but it’s probably not going to end civilization.

If you’re willing to risk your Switch getting banned from the Internet, the hacking community is doing some pretty sweet stuff.

Well, if the mechanical engineering doesn’t work out, I will consider this as a backup plan.

If you have to ask, the answer is no.

Nintendo released Super Mario Bros. 2 and Kirby’s Adventure this month. No news on any other consoles.
