My point is more that judging movements by their worst supporters makes everyone look awful. If the leaders stand behind their worst supporters that’s one thing, but that Democrats seem to spend most of their time and energy attacking their allies and trying to work with their enemies is one of my least favorite

That sounds about right to me. I try to spread the gospel of range voting, which IMO would be a far superior system for choosing candidates with broad support, but with the current system having faith is I guess preferable to my nail biting. I actually tend to agree with Warren, I’m like 80% libertarian and 20%

Are brain aneurysms that much better than heart attacks?

I mean that Biden is a weaker candidate IMO than Hillary was, and Trump has already demonstrated the ability to win that matchup.  I may be wrong, his polling is strong, but I don't think that it is fundamentally irrational.

Helping Joe Biden is helping Donald Trump is how we look at it. Like helping Hillary Clinton in the 2016 primaries was helping Trump. I mean, it’s possible Biden can beat Trump, but IIRC he has pledged to donors that if he is elected nothing much changes, so it’s hard to say he’s better than Trump, although think he

I think Kerry, Hillary, and Mitt Romney basically all lost because their advisors told them that an empty suit could beat _____, so they ran as empty suits.  But advisors like empty suits a lot more than American voters do, for better or worse.

Eh, I support universal healthcare. I just don't see Obamacare as a step on that path.  The ACA legacy isn't America getting decent health care, it's President Donald Trump.  And the reason it's still the law of the land is because the Republicans can't figure out how to give insurance companies a better blowjob.

Well, unless the Israelites decide to let the Saudis take over your phone, apparently...

Everything is legal in New Jersey!  Er Ukraine...

Do you have evidence that he was lying? He definitely blamed his employees then walked it back, but I’m not convinced he wasn’t just confused. Like I’m not sure if you are lying or confused or telling the truth, and I know I’m confused.

Other than the fact that he is a big Democrat, and always has been. Looks bipartisan from where I am sitting. That and Hillary saying she prefers Trump to Sanders.  Seems about right to me.

I hope you are joking calling the ACA a landmark achievement...

Became famous sort of the same way even...

It is unknowable, that is true. That was my point actually, Bernie was probably a bad example. Personally, I think that he is more appealing than Trump, and I think that his polling would have held at least as well as Trumps and Hillarys did. But maybe not. I was just pointing out that primaries don’t guarantee the

Would it really have required magical powers to pass anything useful?  How many licks does it take to get to the middle of a Tootsie roll?  The world will never know...

The winner of the primary isn't necessarily the strongest candidate in the general.  In 2016 for example, Clinton was more popular among Democrats, but Sanders was much more popular among Republicans and Independents.

“This job looks like a lot more fun in the movies!"

Yeah, you are right I think. I was reading a comment thread to be informed, then I looked elsewhere and now I am slightly confused. Looks more likely that the script was real, and Bernie looks very slightly bad, instead of very good.  It's not a big deal to me, but either his staffers were off message (which is what

Bernies volunteer strategy is publicly available, there is no secret that it never included those talking points. He likes Elizabeth Warren and he didn’t do that thing. I don’t think that response is misplaying it at all, he doesn’t need to attack her at this point, he just has to sit back and let this play out. And
