I agreed with you below. I don't dislike it so far but I found Luke to be more engaging on Jessica Jones.

I saw In The Cut in a small arthouse in North Carolina when I was in college. The nine other people who were in the theater walked out halfway through. I wish I followed them.

The book is fantastic. Moving, heartfelt, and hilarious. I wish the movie was that.

Slowly trying to get through Luke Cage. Not a comic book reader but watching it because I loved Jessica Jones. I don't find Luke nearly as interesting as a character. I feel the same way about this as Daredevil. Its well made I guess I'm just not that engaged by the main character. Still Ill finish it.

Wonder Boys is more than just worth seeing. Its great and every bit as fantastic as LA Confidential. Also he directed the hell out of a good not great screenplay in 8 Mile.

Disgree I thought the storytelling was a lot more clean in Verbinsky's version. Also it trumps the original in more dynamic and interesting visuals.

There's too many people doing really good work in the film to call it a waste of time. Don't be ridiculous.

Agreed that's because they more directly adapted Portis pretty much perfect novel.

Really I thought it was boring from the get go. I missed the dread and tension.

And that matters how. Its a thriller with supernatural elements. Its not a documentary.

of course he apes (and still does) but much like a few other things in the film that was an accident on set that Anderson liked so much he just kept the camera running. Apparently Whalberg just went on pause because they were all tired but it works so well.

are you referencing the shot where Mark Whalberg blanks out during the drug deal gone bad scene? Because that was an accident that happened on set.

Its well done if you ignore the script. Visually sure its well done and the AHS series does have a fascinating penchant for landing lots of big time actors with poor writing. I'm guessing its just because they love the big character they get ti play.

I remember really liking all the stories but haven't read this in a while.

So sad Loved Wonder Boys. Every time I watch it I wish everyone in real life could be that interesting.

The White album is very good. Nice to see them back.

I thought the White Album was very very good. He's already back. Guess I;m in the minority.

Carpenter was very good in Limitless which was a surprisingly good and underrated TV show.

I really hope that isn't the last we see of Belinda. It would be a depressing and unsatisfying way to end her character.

I thought The Fireman was so slow and spent way too much time at that camp. Horns and his short stories are great though.
