too bad Owen Meaney is a great great book.

you realize the play August Osage County won a Pulitzer and deservedly so. The movie was terrible directed by John Wells.

Man those early King short stories were so upsetting. I haven't read The Raft since my early days of high school and I still vividly remember the scene where the guy is very slowly sucked through the slats of the raft.

I really don't understand why this concept is so baffling to people. Millions of people disappearing into thin air with no explanation would fuck with everyone not mention what it would do to spiritually hard core people. Frankly I think people are giving the human race far too much credit. Also as the review already

Isn't that what HBO usually and most TV shows actually. Its what they do with Game of Thrones.

That pretty much how it goes here and it pretty much shows why we needed the behind the scene parts of Truman Show. Once we got to the end it was clear what and why was happening with Truman yet still remained ambiguous as you wondered how Truman would live out the rest of his life.

The final shot is so annoying because it only raises endless question about these aliens intents without answering one of them. Its like the movie lost the final reel or something.

Didn't care for their last record but loved Divine Fits.

Surprised at the good review since it got trashed at Sundance

Whenever I think of music in Anderson's film I always think of Oh La La mainly because Rushmore's ending is one of my favorites.

Do you mean early PT Anderson because the long takes in There Will Be Blood or The Master don't have any of the in your face razzle dazzle of his early films.

Its interesting that Paul Thomas Anderson was originally going to play that soon to husband. he turned it down so the TV on The radio frontman got it instead. Hes very good though.

I love this album and I'm sad for inevitable negativity that will pop up on this thread. Every song works towards a whole with no filler. Great album.

Wasn't the usher the devil at some point and the main villian. I seem to remember there was a version of the script like that.

really I remember hearing very good things about the film.

Anybody ever read Joy Luck Club? How is that?

Loved and it looked extraordinary. Awful film though.

You are David Chen from slashfilm right. I feel like your slashfilm podcast on it you were not enthusiastic or maybe it was someone else in the podcast.

Also case in point PTAs last film The Master which was kind of terrible.

Thats too bad about the ending. What makes the books ending so powerful is that when Carrie cracks at the end she's like a bomb. Guilty or innocent is irrelevant as she lays waste to the town. This ending sounds like its softening the ending.
