I hate bees. Pretty sure I would have crashed horribly and died in that situation.

Walpole, foxborough or sharon? I live about 10 minutes from Gillette (right next to Bird Middle school in Walpole). Small world!

nice rear brake bias...

That's funny, I've never seen above 40mpg while driving any Prius on the highway. Granted, we tend to cruise at 85+ in the left lane here in MA (the Golf TDI is a vastly better performer here as well, but I digress)

compu_85are you on tdiclub? If so, thanks for all the hard work on instrument clusters / vag-tacho stuff /various mods I can't remember.

They're not too bad. I wouldn't say it's very fast, but it certainly doesn't hang around. The internets say 6.8 seconds 0-60 and ~15 in the 1/4 mile. It feels faster though. 50-70 passing is really good. Car feels awesome at lose-your-license type speeds.

A 4.0 W8-powered all-wheel drive wagon with a manual. Guess how rare it is!

This car was on the cover of Eurotuner or sport compact car in like 2001. The rear end is awful

Audi changed the design of the front control arms— they use a larger front bushing from 2000.5 forward. I'm not sure about the rear suspension. (I installed TT front suspension on my mk4 Golf, but couldn't find pre-recall control arms).

A buddy of mine is a TDI specialist in the Boston area...I feel like every car I've seen there has 200k+...

If you spec a V6 Camry to include the same equipment as a VR6 Passat, the Camry costs $3800 more. I haven't even mentioned that the Passat isn't so offensively bad looking, handles considerably better, and has a better transmission (DSG). Even though I just did. The Passat also did better than the Camry in the

was forced to do this last week. My car decided to have an exhaust leak while driving home from Boston during the blizzard... Running the AC worked for a while, eventually the windows fog up, and turn into frost...

It was either that or choking on exhaust..

This was my first thought. I like the general proportions of the car, the shape of the greenhouse (roofline, side window profile, windshield) as well as the wheel arches...

Agreed bro. I'm from the other side of the pond, but I always liked the looks of the granada.

This is the scorpio. The Taurus of the same generation was just as ugly as the scorpio. You could have the Taurus wagon with the Duratec 24V though, which was a monster of an engine.

and I quote, "What’s perhaps best, however, is how little money is spent at the pump. In the European cycle, the Polo BlueMotion is rated at a combined 71 mpg. After spending considerable time behind the wheel, we can confirm these numbers are pretty accurate in the real

Jesus titty-fucking Christ why didn't you just shoot the thing after your dad ground it's feet off? No offense to you personally (take that for what you will, but I mean it)...but your dad must have had a few screws loose, bro. What an asshole.

unicorn magic is a standard feature of most VWs. I've done basically the same thing in my Golf (got into a nasty tank slapper trying not to hit a deer)
