I KNOW WHAT THIS IS!

The RX8 also had clamshell doors, super convenient and truly kept a “coupe” shape with the versatility of a 4 door. They were smaller, for sure, but with the fronts open you can easily get in back.

that is exactly what people that have given up on life do.”

Agree 100%. The minivan is so unjustly shit upon when in many contexts it is the correct answer to the question. If youve had the chance to be in a higher end model in the last few years, it’s hard to deny how far they have come.

Honestly, watching moms trying to hoist their kids and all their groceries in the back seats of their truck in the rain is a big reason why I’m so anti-truck. Everyone in that situation would be so much happier if they were just in a nice minivan, and they don’t want to admit it because they think they would be less

the CR-Z is hated mostly because it isn’t a CR-X.

people wanted light, simple,  sporty, fun to drive civic 3 door like the original CR-X with great mileage and they got an overweight, not sporty, lux’d up un fun civic that didn’t get anywhere near the mileage that the old CR-X got.

The minivan.

They always tell on themselves. It could never be that there are plenty of qualified POC that desire these positions.

This is quite the racist response. Nice job telling on yourself.

And people wonder why I despise CUVs. If they don’t handle terribly, they ride terribly, and most manage to do both at the same time. Making it heavier with a battery just makes it that much worse.

Vehicles that are essentially glorified sedans with an unnecessarily tall CoG and more weight suck at handling?

What do you mean better? The stupid thing would probably just topple over if you mounted some RE71R on it and tried the same thing.

My daily habits haven’t changed. I still drive to an office everyday, and I still plan on taking a long road trip.

I love how all the a holes who don’t give a fuck about the environment suddenly give a fuck about mining some rare minerals. As if fracking for oil is somehow such a superior technology.

I like your analogy but it’s different than the electrical consumption case because of intent/motivation. Imagine your vegan just wants to make sure that 1/10th of the food eaten is vegan, then success! Bradley pays extra so that all of the power he uses is accounted for somewhere being renewable/green whether it flows

Yes, that is pretty typical for DC fast charging. The faster you charge the more it costs. The charger is more expensive, the infrastructure is more expensive (transformers and high voltage lines), and the rate paid to the utility is more. Utilities charge by the total kWh usage AND usage rate. Customers that have

Inorite? I mean, IC engined vehicles don’t use any rare elements in their manufacture, alloys or components. And crude oil just, like, magically appears at the refinery, where it just falls apart into the needed hydrocarbons, which just...blip off to where they’re needed.

California’s primary hydrocarbon electricity source is natural gas, which is much cleaner than gasoline. So an EV in California has a much lower carbon footprint than an ICE vehicle, even taking into account the generation of electricity from HCs. DOE’s calculator, which takes power grid emissions into account, shows

70k number was something I saw related to electric cars, I am trying to find it. When I do I’ll gladly share it.

Do yourself a favor and actually test drive some EV's and at least one PHEV before you decide. My wife has been commuting with a 60 mile range i3 (it's old, that's not the original range or even close to the current new vehicle range) just fine for three years. We've cut it closer than we liked once or twice, but if
