Growing up I had a Cantankerous Coot of a next door neighbor who was oh...39? Hated absolutely EVERYTHING that I did, including the JDM movement I was into. His only saving grace, he had an absolutely beautiful C2 Corvette Convertible. He’d rev it up, and always tell me that my V6 could never come close to a good V8.

Yea I’m not really sure why they think this is “gorgeous”.  It was OK in the gray color in the initial article, but in this green color it is absolutely awful.  And that interior... ugh.  I dunno why, but the whole thing screams 1990 to me.

This car is ugly and looks tacky as hell. I see you are trying real hard to make it happen, but it just doesn’t work for me.

Ah the classic accusations of an “idiot falling for the GOP’s game plan”. You people really need to find some better arguments. Just accusing everybody who doesn’t agree with you of being less intelligent than yourself comes off as extremely condescending and almost never wins anybody over.

And then proceeds to tell the worker that he IS INDEED coming for his “illegal” AR-14 automatic machine gun, and when he is corrected on it doubles down, tells the worker that his AR-15 is in fact an automatic, calls him a “horse’s ass”, tells him he’ll meet the guy outside, and then left for a gun control meeting.

No he wasn't. He was right. Biden was full of shit and was lying through his teeth about previous things he had said.

I was cheering on the worker for calling out Biden on his lies.

Without knowing anything about this, at least this dude took the time to write out something with some analytical intent.

And it’s just so funny that the millionth car from this company rolled out of that dumbass assembly line in a tent.

This is nothing but an opinion. I worked for Elon for 6 years and his management style and the style of management he fosters is imperfect and certainly different from the PR sanitized, risk-averse, corporate cookie-cutter version of the typical billion-dollar enterprise. It does not however “suck”. My time in an Elon

Just so you’re clear, I come from a family whose land is leased to oil companies. So my love of Tesla (a stock I also own) is in spite of that. Part of the fallacy of your argument is that you’re assuming that Teslas are all powered by coal. We both you that you know that isn’t accurate. And what you’re talking about

At this point I only read Jalopnik for its “articles” on Tesla just to see SBA’s comments. The mental gymnastics are just so much fun to witness, and the pure delusion makes me feel better about myself.

BS on all counts. Just look at CASIO, imports and coal do not even account to half of CA’s grid at night.

Shh, you are feeding a troll. His CO2 numbers are also inflated through the roof.

Aside from all the snark:

Congrats. And having recently driven a Tesla (Model 3 one step above base model), they figured out how to make EVs and the cars of the future not boring, but a hoot to drive. To that I raise my glass.

So what you’re saying is, it’s important to shut down coal power? Yeah, i agree.

Compared to the constant drilling, global shipping, refinement, transport to gas stations and eventual burning of the fuel that ICE cars will need to run through their engines forever? That’s not even taking into consideration the other oils and coolants that constantly need replacing in tractor-technology cars. Yes,

I’ve had my Model 3 for a year now and in that year, the only thing I’ve had to do, maintenance-wise, was 1) Have Tesla fix an inner lining issue by the rear tires (free, took less than two hours to do, have had no problems with it since) and 2) change the windshield wipers/add windshield wiper fluid.

As opposed to how much CO2 is released in the production and burning of gasoline.

Can I say it?
