Ah yes, one quarter negates all past performances!

The real problem with Tesla IMO is that they aren’t profitable selling cars.

LOL, you suck at this: https://www.theverge.com/2020/11/16/21569524/tesla-model-3-35000-price-stop-selling

Your whole discussion about Ford vs Tesla convincing people and 4WD vs 2WD is a red herring. You’re trying to distract from my original points:

Cool...so that means 50% are either FWD or 2WD, you made my point. So I provide you data showing the top 3 F150 states are all mild climate locations, and that 50% of all vehicles sold ARE NOT AWD or 4WD...and that’s a “red herring”? Ok.

None of this explains why you’ve jumped on board with the same FUD arguments that people use against Tesla. It’s all a red herring of word vomit rabbit trails.

The Lightning doesn’t even offer you the option of 2WD, and guess where the majority of their sales are?

You don’t walk into Tesla and grill them over charging infrastructure, range or delivery time (the “FUD nonsense” I assume you are referring to) because you’ve already convinced yourself you want an EV at that point!

Dear god, NO ONE is claiming that the Lightning compares to X model F150

Nope, Tesla has the highest percentage of return buyers in the US. Secondly, Tesla ONLY sells EVs, Ford is the one that has to somehow convince someone “thinking” about getting a Ford EV why they are superior to ICE vehicles...the same ICE vehicles sitting all over their showroom and lots!

Dude, a base F150 starts at $29.2k, the Lightning base starts at $41.6k PER FORD...that’s literally $13k.

If you want EV customers, you have to make them feel cool. Everybody but Tesla has failed at that, though the Mach E and the Lightning are making a strong case.

I love the “tax credit”. First, it’s a tax credit, not cash, so please stop deducting the same amount from the purchase price. It’s a horse shit politician/salesman approach.

I’m sorry, but pretending a model 3 is in any way comparable to a 3 series other than 4 wheels is a sad joke, and I hate modern BMWs.

in Nashua, the second largest city in NH, there exactly 1 CCS charging point with 1 plug. there is another one across the river in a neighboring town and 1 south of the border at the mall, so 3 charging points within 10 miles of me.

saves me $700/year in fuel, while costing me $5-15k more to buy up front.

Yeah, I think they both look good, but if anything, the ID4 is almost more clean and classy looking than the others.

as of now, Tesla is the only EV with even reasonably ubiquitous charging infrastructure

I’m not sure where the line is that makes something a “smartphone on wheels”, but the Mach E, ID4, Kona, Niro, Bolt EUV, IPace, Etron, etc. all exist. (FWIW, I’m using the manufacturer’s definition of crossover, because several of these are just wagons or hatchbacks.)

Can’t put anything in at the front of the bed... ZERO UTILITY AT ALL.
