    VOTE: HostGator.

    Looks like they've been Lifehackered

I am part of a pretty large Caribbean/West Indian Twitter group (the #witarmy). One of the most positive aspects of social media for us is the ability to network, interact and connect with other people who share a common currencies, culture, sport, ethnicity and history even though we live on individual islands

Weather Underground, especially during hurricane season.

Local-on-tourist crime - at least on my island - is pretty rare but I see nothing wrong with abiding by common-sense rules of personal safety. Walking alone isn't going to get you mugged, but being blindingly drunk/flashing a lot of cash/wandering through the skeeviest part of town isn't advisable anywhere.

    sigh .. double post

The Eclipse was anchored 3 miles from my house the other day. It wasn't until I saw this blog post on FB from a local photographer that I realised it wasn't a small cruise ship. [www.moderndaygilligan.com] a nutshell: Abramovich has far too much money.

Ah! Had to be Costa Cruise lines. Fifty years ago one of their flagships - the Bianca C - blew an engine room, caught fire and sank 2 miles from my house. [en.wikipedia.org]

There are many websites out there with very detailed information about how to procure and use misoprostol and mifepristone, or even misoprostol only for medication abortions (eg: [www.medicationabortion.com]). Many of these sites seemed to be aimed at women in the Middle and Far East where, obviously, abortion is

Not to be outdone by St Vincent, Grenada's "Rivers" is 155% proof AND tastes like diesel flavoured urine. I have no idea why people willingly drink this stuff.

It's down all over the Caribbean as well. If this keeps up any longer there will be mini-riots at the cell providers offices.

    *imaginary +1 for this*

Invites available if you need any.

Invites to give away as well. PM with email addys.

This is why it's in invite-only beta and why at the lower right part of each page is the Google+feedback button.

+ eleventy billion points for that Omar reference. Indeed.

Would be nice if this was enabled for GApps users. Jeez Google, get with it.

As a person living in a "third world" Caribbean tourist destination, and working in the hospitality sector, these are some good suggestions both in the article & the comments. A few more here:

Heh. In the Caribbean, where I'm from, almost all cockroaches have wings. They're pretty much what Floridians call "palmetto bugs". Maybe not what you want to hear but they aren't repelled by anti-bug candles :/

    I love it!
