My eyes hurt.  Can someone MathJax this mo’fo?

$700 for a high-end fountain pen, as many others have mentioned, isn’t actually very high.  But most of those have platinum, gold, iridium, and other precious metals/gems/etc added.  I don’t see any reference to any of those here.

A man I once knew would talk about his favorite feature of the Lada: a bus schedule in the owner’s manual.

Did you put the dent in?  They need the dent to work right.

I almost splattered my drink out when I saw the interior. They took the awkwardness of the Tesla screen and the sterility of the Range Rover gear-select and shot them into an incredibly bland interior.

And children are made of carbon.  The bigger they get, the more carbon they hold.

I was watching a show about this. They became profitable after (a) surveying their clientele and (b) realizing that their clients had secretaries book the flights and (c) upping the fares to what their clients thought they were paying.

Probably internal company politics. GM’s known for that.

I think EVs are great replacement for a second car in the family. Whomever has the longest commute gets the biggest win (assuming it’s all in a single charge, but capacity’s pretty good now).

Two reasons for NP:

The car was on consignment at a vintage car sales house in Neuss, Germany just outside of Duesseldorf. A representative of the company was left high and dry when the booster drove off.

Let’s just be glad it’s Tracy and not Torch. Whatever he got would fit in the bed.

As most women will tell you, six inches isn’t even all that noticeable.

The world does!  They’re not sold (because they don’t sell) in the US.

I did some analysis on this a while back. Versus EUR or USD, BTC is a poor currency. It’s at least as stable as smaller currencies, and (more importantly) uncorrelated to them. If your national currency gets rapidly devalued / hyperinflated, it’s a useful backstop. It may be more easily obtainable and usable than USD

If you want to get rid of touchscreens, add a keyboard. It can come down when you hit a button. They keyboard’s controller chip will queue inputs, which is already better than waiting for the gameboy-class cpu in the touchscreen to update.

Don’t blame the Gods for your choices.

For me it’s the front of the 3 and Y.  It’s got a front panel where the grille should be, and it’s done nothing to look better there.  It’s not just the awkwardness of the front, but the lost opportunity!

That’s overblown. It’s very hard to prove that you’re not acting in the best interests of the company. There’s no specific law obligating people to act in the best interests of shareholders, that’s just a juicy quote from a judge’s opinion on a related matter. Otherwise you’d have every executive thrown out constantly
