You referenced one of my other comments first — but nice try, Colombo.

Considering how much time you just spent telling every guy on another thread that their opinion isn’t worth shit purely because they are men, this is a strange place to take a stand.

I think they were chasing West’s car into the parking lot, because you can see the actual shooter show up behind the car everyone is leaning on, right after the SUV that West runs behind comes through the lot with the door already opening well short of where it stops.

Also the shooter had a striped shirt. Columbo only gets it right at the very end, so there’s still time.

Then how do you know what I said?

Did you stop to read a couple of the funny versions of this comment or just rush right down here assuming you were the first to have that thought?

I’m horribly out of date on router technology — can anyone suggest a good article/message board/whatever to get myself caught back up since I’m in the market for a new one and have no idea what’s important anymore?

This comment would be a lot more persuasive if you maybe linked to another time it happened in high level women’s soccer. Don’t you think?

No, dummy, making a joke while admitting crying is not lying about crying. Why are you such a dick?

This is why I plan to tip either way, and I just ask if there are upgrades.

One time I did this with a $100, meaning to use it like a tab, the bartender dropped it in the tip jar, put us on the comp list, and after that I don’t really remember the rest...

I worked at a luxury hotel front desk for a short time (it was a summer job, I didn’t get fired). I gave upgrades for free to anyone that asked because there are generally a lot of rooms held open for walk-ins (because they pay a much higher rate than people that book in advance). You have a lot of leeway to shuffle

Not at hotels it isn’t. Front desk people and others have a lot of leeway in using amenities to keep guests happy. It’s called the hospitality industry for a reason. Your boss would be mad if you didn’t do this. I spent a summer working at a Hyatt front desk and guarantee you this is the case.

This is the same shit Ovechkin always catches — like scoring more goals than anyone else isn’t, by itself, pretty helpful.

Barry, I like that you actually write about hockey, but the throwaway references to a bag of pucks and an underwhelming return betray that you must not actually pay that much attention. This wasn’t half as lopsided as you’re pretending.

Don’t remember where I found the gif, but it’s an SNL sketch

About a year ago I started saving fun ones. My new favorite:

I’m not doubting you, but am genuinely curious how your mom is sure that vaccines gave her friends MS. I have heard some of the alleged dangers, but MS was never one of them.

I get where Bill is coming from, but that’s one of those “common sense” arguments that requires some science before you get to just run it out there as valid. It also reminds me of the argument that the Voting Rights Act is no longer necessary because of how well it’s working... All the bad stuff he said we no longer
