Do you really think a goalie should be moving toward the shooter as he winds up? I think you’re under the impression the game is played at the speed of the super slow-mo replays. Unless you mean the Hedman windup, which is nonsensical because there’s just no way you can take an angle on the recipient of the stretch

All I could think of was TBS, and I knew that was wrong. But that’s why the Braves have more fans than they should. Early cable was almost as shitty as current cable.

You make a reasonable point, but do so while ignoring stuff like this:

I know it’s out of context here, but this quote, from a law enforcement official, makes me laugh and cry about the law enforcement bills of rights around the country that make sure we do exactly this (and DAs generally support that stupidity):

You should try reading that again. It makes sense and it doesn’t say what your summary says.

Sometimes it’s okay to get something good done for the wrong reasons. If they make it safer for everyone, but do so just because LeBron got hurt, that’s still good.

You’re a dick.

I was going to ask about this. I assume they didn’t have as many playoff rounds when Russell played, too. That said, it’s still crazy to think he’s already 30. I still remember watching him play a high school game on ESPN.

Seemed that every game Jordan played was televised nationally back then too, on one of those local cable networks that got syndicated nationally. I may be wrong, but I think that’s a huge part of how everyone ended up rooting for him instead of hating him.

This is blowing my mind...

Just a joke about head injuries. GWAR was my first concert (in Buffalo back in ‘96, I think). Were you on stage? I believe they raped Jean Benet-Ramsey and decapitated the Pope at that particular show, if that rings a bell.

You are, I’m sure, taking into consideration that 1 second before that shot the puck was behind the TB net, right? For Crawford to be out further, he’d have to still be moving forward as it was shot.

No, it means that trying to name “elite” goalies is a silly exercise.

Let me guess, it was on the team bus:

Justify it however you want, you clearly don’t know shit about playing goalie or about what makes a good goalie. Just look at how much difference there is in the results Varlamov and Bobrovsky had with different teams, yet those are your “elite” guys. No, they are just guys that played in systems that fit their style.

It’s hyperbole, asshole.

I don’t know much basketball (and was too lazy to google it), so I was curious about that. I wonder if they have to make LeBron into the new logo if he wins?

Rephrased for you: “I’ve hit my head a shitload, please trust my judgment.”

The NHL has done this five times, with losing goalies from badly outgunned teams receiving it four, and once the guy who set the record for goals in one playoff year. It would feel much the same here if LeBron won the award in a losing effort — especially if he keeps putting up something like 40/10/10.
