Yeah, I said elsewhere, I don't know shit about basketball and was wrong about him.

This is what kills me too. I'm an attorney, so I hear a ton of shit talking about my line of work. And, I agree with a lot of it, because there are shitty attorneys and criminals that are attorneys. There's a need for certain types of tort reform, etc. etc. And I know that I have not done anything wrong on any of

What is more likely? That the world is actually a series of all or nothing binary questions like you pose that are super simple and the rest of us are just missing the point? Or not?

I don't think you can make it binary. Even the cop that gave him a ride home, and therefore helped, also had this exchange:

The article you're talking about said they were designed to exonerate police. And it pointed to specific marketing from Taser to that effect. It also came to the conclusion that it's still beneficial to have the video, and maybe it's still a good idea. You read it too quickly or only read the headline. It was on

My bad. I pay very little attention to basketball, but I thought I remembered Bird being a great exec but bad coach. Gretzky was definitely terrible though — you can give me that one, right?

I think baseball gets held to a different standard. We expect football players to behave savagely because that's the nature of the game they play. Baseball is <bullshit, cough, bullshit> more pure or whatever. That and he made the most money and shamelessly chased being on winning teams — ya know, the same thing we

Crosses over sports. Bird and Gretzky were shit as coaches. MJ certainly isn't a good executive, etc.

I'm a Yankee fan and I think you want this more than I do. But I'd certainly take it.

Well either you guys updated to address this or I missed it the first time. Definitely finding the podcast via Pocket Casts on android now. Thanks.

When I try to set my podcast app to download this (Android — Pocketcasts), it can find the 2012 episodes but not the new ones. Any chance you can just post the new eps where you used to put the 2012 ones so that I can also get the new episodes? I want to listen to this, but not so much so that I'm going to start

In tech that's called the uncanny valley. The closer something is to perfect the more you notice what's wrong.

Curious what perspective you're coming at this one from. It seems that most of the criticism of the way this show handles race is coming from white people, while Native Americans and others have no problem with it.

More importantly, they do the diet but forget that paleo people also ran and walked like 30 miles a day. That's the part of the diet worth trying to emulate (not all 30 miles, but some fucking exercise).

There's only one diet:

My grandmother, before she died of complications from lung cancer, used to tell us that all three of her kids turned out just fine despite her smoking through all three pregnancies. Though she could never explain why each of her boys had sons that were, on average, 7 inches taller than them.

Has really similar tempo to Hedberg's. I've noticed that too.

...this gif just fucking haunts me now. I used to find it fun.

Portland is my kinda place.
