For a 5.0 to lay down a 9 second 1/4 with only an exhaust, CAI, tune, a little spray tires and no seats, on a stock long block, makes it pretty increadabe. Early 2000's Toyota Tacoma SR 5 5sp. 4WD is nice, but up here in Canada, you need 4by and ground clearance. Also, 4 wheel engine brake with a manual trans does wonders to help shed speed confidently on the white stuff.

Youre right about a speed shop car being faster. Keep in mind tho...cheap, fast, reliable.....choose two. There's a lot of engineering that goes into these type of cars not found with speed shops. Look at the Z28, and the next GT350 is going to blow your mind. I guess it depends on what your after tho. Straight line…

The right lane is not the merging lane....that's the acceleration/deceleration lanes that merge on to and off of the freeway. I live where we only have 3 lane (sometimes up to 6) hiways. I agree you aren't impeding someone if there is a left lane open for passing but I don't agree that the middle lane is for cruising.…

Its funny you say that because on the 400 series freeways here in southern Ontario (Toronto area) its the right lane that is close to empty with a ridiculous number of ppl in the center lane and a good amount in the left.
