The ending to the Dark Tower got me to boycott SK for a few years, before I really realized that there were bigger monsters and “I don’t like what you did to your story” wasn’t something to get all heated up about. (Pretty much was mad until I heard about Orson Scott Card and got a dose of perspective).

The deputy said someone called and reported Bynum appearing to spend a long time at houses in the area and appearing to be casing the neighborhood while on her phone.

It’s been messy since forever. I’ve played it on and off for years, and its never made sense from the very beginning.

Yeah, your anecdotal limited experience totes overwhelms my over-a-decade in EMS (eyeroll).

I didn’t miss your point, I disagreed with it by pointing something out.

She was going around the back door of the houses?

Fair enough, but the point is the kind of call you make.

Going high does not require niceties. I’m all for going high—i won’t attack, say, non participatory family-- not neither do I need to be nice.

Fair enough, though I stand by my point (and you didn't argue it)

Eh, maybe the difference between a 6 sided and a twenty- sided?

It’s reminiscent of the defenses of predators, actually....... because honest mistakes *do* happen, but also shitty people live in and abuse the existence of grey areas in ways people who haven't experienced it can't usually quite "get"

Depending on hospitals and circumstances, not like super much.

Eh, laughing about fuckups isn’t unusual when there aren't like.... permanent consequences. Comedy=tragedy+time, after all

I feel like I'd laugh in the sense of... what a mistake I made!

Underwear is the defense against skidmarks of all kinds.

Perfectly reasonable!

To be fair, I absolutely would not, offhand, recognize my elected representative, or likely anyone who could claim that title, and I follow politics, and I know the headshots I’ve seen.

We have passed the point of compromise and niceties

That’s police abuse (which is its own bag of shit). I thought you were talking about the shitty people calling 911 and wasting (ostensibly good) cop’s time?

As a non-cop 911 responder, I approve of both of those uses of 911.
