Does that mean you ALWAYS assume every complaint is real? Someone said they thought she must be mentally unbalanced, do you just accept that as well? Because that’s contradictory.

I think we’d all do well to reserve judgement until the evidence comes out. Don’t assume arrest=guilty, but don’t (necessarily) assume the opposite. Just reserve judgement. “Oh shit, this might have happened” is as far as we can go at present.
I was excited for this season, and then it came out and I realized I had zero interest. Is there any actual “mystery” here (serious question, as I only listened to two episodes)? I found the protagonist unsympathetic and the story, with no mystery and an unsympathetic protagonist, to be boring.
I am in no way trying to be shitty with what I’m about to say, but I wish you clarified the transition thing. I wasn’t familiar with Narcissa at all; from clicking on the previous link about the other speedrun, I guess she (Narcissa) used to publicly identify as male (Cosmo)?
Hot pans engage reflex nerves—you jerk your hand away before you even realize you’re hurt, basically. In this case, it’s more complicated; the body’s natural danger response is for the self, not for others-from-our- tools
Ah, the one from Dunwich Horror—I mean BORERs. That was a neat subquest. It’s unfortunate that it won’t be there if you got it from a legendary enemy already though, so that when I got down there I was like “All this for 2 mininukes? I’ve already got a bunch of those....”
When that happened to us it always seemed to be because one of us was slow to join when we got the message that the others had. But the game is so bad for party mechanics I don’t really know
Be in the same party (Party up outside the game, even). They also have to be quick to join any new lobbies to join at the same time. And since there’s usually a window you can still back out if you do that, I check to make sure and we all back out if it’s messed up.
Wait did they use different messages, too? Using “Yes.” vs. “Sure”, I’d wager the difference in words matters more than the punctuation...though I don’t usually punctuate single word replies, either; there’s a difference between a “real sentence” and “yup”
I can afford to be picky: While in real life I’m a vegetarian, I know I can’t manage that in Fallout, but I utterly refuse to eat dog meat (as in, meat from dogs). I’ll eat iguana. I’ll eat radroach. I’ll eat Yao Guai. Depending on my build I’ll eat people. But not dogs.
According to the game (in one of those little notes during the long loading screen), skulls are for enemies above your level that might be to tough for you right then.
Wait, why is this tacky? Is it because we assume she was just trying to be cute/shill herself for the movie role? Cause I think it’s awesome to, on that dickweasel’s birthday, remind everybody what he did and who to....victims don’t get taliked about enough.
Mine arrived approximately twenty minutes ago. I’m downloading the half-a-gig day one update. My box wasn’t smushed, my case was intact. Everything’s pretty. Unfortunately, and I knew this but I’m still sad, my phone doesn’t fit in the Pipboy, so I can’t play around with the settings. Interestingly, it comes with a…
Who you are is not up to society to determine.
When do we get our spoiler thread to rant about the ending?! So gorram angry...
Also, he thinks a 20% tip is generous?! 15 is standard...nobody’s falling over themselves for his extra 5% (especially since in some circles 20% is the new 15%). I’m not rich. And I’m an asshole—I actually have tipped 0% before for VERY bad service. But 15-20% is just default. When I’m douchily patting myself on the…
Lamy Safari: it’s a fountain pen because I’m a pretentious douche, but: writes well (even on nitrile gloves), swappable nibs, piston fill or cartridge, never leaks really.

That game came out around my birthday when I was [younger than I am now] years old. I played it SO MUCH. It was terrible, sure, but...this was PS1, a lot of these games were terrible. Tank controls: Uggh. I could beat it without saving it at all, and in less than 3 hours. IIRC, you could carry your inventory over in a…
This usage point is not the point generally made when discussing gendering in language. Or at least, it’s not the point being made by the equality side of the equation. Again, we come back to the idea that keeping “fireman” and saying “we’ll just use it to refer to both” wouldn’t solve the problem, because there would…
The stance you’re taking doesn’t support any language changes—you’re focusing on usage to the exclusion of etymology—even when that etymology is still relevant. The morphene “man” IS the gendered part of fireman. Whether you argue it’s because of usage, or you argue it’s because of etymology, it 100% IS what makes the…
