I saw it coming, both from knowing his history with wanting Han to be killed off already, and from the way they built up to the scene on the bridge. BUT, even though I was saying to myself during that scene "If they chicken out and have Han lead Ren off this bridge I will never forgive Abrams…", I sobbed like I'd

You kind of have a point there, in that why does there need to be a Resistance when the Republic is obviously (I think) set up to be the governing body that arose from the original Rebellion..are they the military branch of the Republic?

Ugh I thought Hux was awful, so over-the-top. I REALLY wanted Voldemort—I mean Snoke—to just say to him, whoops, too bad for you! when he found out the Death Moon was going down

I should hope so ;)

The city where I grew up is surrounded by shipping ports that all have those giant metal cranes they use to lift cargo containers. When we were little kids my dad pointed to them and said, "Look, AT-AT's!" To this day, that's what we still all call them, much to the delight of my husband, who now also lives here. I

Ugh, so that's why I get so many dropped calls when I use my cellphone in my house?! I gotta keep a few more blasters on hand…

Had to give this one more props than just an upvote…kudos!

You know, I kinda like that interpretation…makes me think of Iron Fist, and how there were many students training to be the one to defeat the dragon that would grant the powers of the Iron Fist, but ultimately that honor went to the one who worked hard enough and was focused enough on their own inner potential to rise

I just had a random thought (and yes, I know the timeline would make Darth Maul too old for this to happen, but just go with it…)
Imagine this scene in the new movie: Darth Maul shows up at the end of a hallway where Han Solo is trying to make a daring escape. Action stops as all eyes are on Maul and Solo. Maul

You know, strangely enough, I kind of wish he never tried to explain some of this stuff. It seems like it is impossible to make those kinds of backstories interesting; it only becomes somehow mundane. The supernatural mysteriousness of it just works better—for me, anyway. But then, I'm Catholic, so I'm used to

Thank you for proving to me that it is actually possible for two people to debate a religious point politely without descending into name-calling and ugliness. Cheers!

I could not even believe they killed him off when they did. For me he may have been the best part of the prequels, with so much potential for bad-assery. I think he kind of symbolizes for me all the squandered potential of the prequels.

As an adult, I can see how killing off Han Solo would have been a very emotional, dramatic turn that could have had interesting consequences…

I don't know why, but the silly names in Ep IV never really bothered me, I guess because I was a really little kid when the movie first came out, but then as I got older because of the first movie's roots in old-school adventure movies. But I can really only give that pass to the first movie; I would've preferred

My fave: "Boring conversation anyway…"

But it is really important for women to know that they can now get their Star Wars makeup from Revlon! They have colors for your Light Side and colors for your Dark Side!!

Oh one other thing I wanted to mention—unlike many others who lament that Disney now owns the universe, I actually am pretty happy about it for a few reasons…just like my thoughts on them owning the Marvel Universe, Disney really does know a lot about making quality entertainment, and it's unusual when they put out

I'm crazy excited about the new movie, because I'm looking forward to seeing what someone with a genuine love for the original trilogy can do with a fresh, new story to tell. Just as with the Star Trek universe, there is an infinite amount of ways that a person with a good imagination can go moving forward. I

I saw elsewhere today that Fox is going to be pairing The Grinder up with Brooklyn-99 mid-season, which I think is a great idea. I think there is a similar comedic tone between the two that fans of the 99 may discover. 99 also has that slightly absurdist take on things that will sometimes make me groan, but I still

I could be wrong, but I also get the impression that Ethan is sort of his own kid—maybe a little too precocious for his peers, not as much concerned about "fitting in" so much as being accepted for who he is. Much like Burt on Trophy Wife, which is a very good thing. I am actually perfectly content that they didn't
