How ironic I was just playing Xcom-Apoc this morning, a game that needs a graphical/UI facelift and you could slap it straight down as a great game

its all about the illusion, all FF games are linear but you have to shroud it in a way where we feel free, FF X for example is as bad as FF XIII in terms of straight line minimaps and a railroad but doesn’t feel anything like as linear simply because you can port round and there is a reason to do so.
