Think the lot of yall, including the author of this article, missed out on one good Metroid-vania clone: Shadow Complex. Not a Nintendo game (out on xbl, and steam too I think). Definitely has scratched my ‘Metroid itch’ on more than a few occasions, between nostalgic boughts of Super and Prime playthroughs.
