Recently. He said Stop and Frisk isn’t racist against black people. I’ve never been Stopped and frisked. So if black people don’t want to be stopped and frisked then they should stop committing all the crimes.

Right. I don’t care to hear Kal Penn’s thoughts on racism after he said he supports racial profiling and stop and frisk because he got mugged once.

That’s all ridiculous, but if you ever saw him in Van Wilder, apparently it didn’t bother him for that one. That one was an over the top stereotype.

I care, but then I remember that time Kal Penn said racism against black people wasn’t real, and we (black people) needed to get over ourselves.

Isn’t his role in Van Wilder (which was pretty much his first major role in a major movie, I think) exactly this shitty and offensive? His name in it is fucking “Taj Mahal Badalandabad.”

Go even further back and there’s a real issue, imho, with beginning from a position of exclusion and specificity instead of grasping the first chance since the depression we really had to engage in an actual, working-class general strike.

I agree with Samuel Jackson! What’s the deal with so many Black-brits playing the roles of African-American historical figures? Is the talent among Black Americans that lacking? The Handmaid’s Tale is required reading (I’d also strongly recommend The Edible Woman and the Robber Bride) but man, Margaret Atwood has been the epitome of ‘yr fav is problematic’ lately.
