I still somehow blame the 24 hour news cycle. You need outrageous takes and personalities to get views and this has spilled over to sports reporting as well and you end up with crap like this.

Not every brand can be Subaru so if this is what it takes to get the other half of the population into more efficient cars I’m fine with it
While maybe not “make” I always find it fascinating when people talk about Michelin star restaurants and think “no way that has anything to do with the tire company” and it does!
I wouldn’t say Bottas is stabbing himself in the back. Mercedes seems to be doing a perfectly good job of that for him
On that 68, what kind of insane person would change the clean, chrome early C3 bumpers to the late 70s plastic-fantastic terrible looking bumpers. CP for that alone because who knows what other terrible things they did to that car
I didn’t mean to imply everyone could afford an Elise.
To me, the one that really hurts is the Elise...because people could actually possibly afford one of those.
My guess, with aerodynamics causing cars to converge on a single rough shape the Germans needed some way to help them stand out from the crowd and gaudy design elements (ie, the new BMW maw) seemed to easily fit the bill.
I had a neighbor who had a friend who would send dick picks and he said about 1/20 people would get back....
I read the headline as “The 2022 Volkswagen Tacos is coming” and that sounds way more interesting
And this is why we can’t have nice things
I’m still extremely upset we never got the 6 Wagon
I have a nice set of Bojo plastic trim tools and they are fantastic (and made in the USA!). They are really high quality and I don’t run into them flexing much
I’ve mentioned this as well and the shooting angles of F1 are terrible. They always do super wide angle straight ahead shots and then super zoomed in turning shots which completely saps the sensation of speed.
I could maybe see there being some reverse logic where it becomes more profitable for companies to ship TP overseas to make more money, resulting in a shortage here.
If you liked this you might enjoy Age of Samurai: Battle For Japan. That one is more violent, but has the same “casual telling of history” vibe that this has. It has a similar structure and is also six parts
I think a big part of the issue with F1 broadcasts is the terrible “super zoomed in shot” of every car in every corner which really nerfs the feeling of speed from the cars
Quick question, you mention a few times using the rear brake but no mention of the front brake and I was just curious if you were only using the rear brake? If so, why?
I played a ton of Hot Wheels Stunt Track Driver a long time ago:
Isn’t true MAPP gas no longer available? I know Bernzomatic has their Map-Pro line now but it’s barely hotter than their butane ones and it doesn’t hold a flame (!) to the old MAPP stuff
