I’ll second the don’t increase mileage too quickly. I was running 6-8 miles consistently and quickly jumped up to 10 and then 13 miles aaaaaaaaand destroyed my legs. 3 years later, I still can’t train and have constant pain/discomfort in my lower body.

Going off at Turn 3 at Thunderhill at 92mph. Got wedged on the inside by another rider (you can hear his bike) and couldn’t actually exit out wide. I straightened up a fraction of a second too late and thought it was better to hit the dirt straight up than try and save it.
