Haha. It really was a good first car since it was always functional enough to get you somewhere...but not functional enough that it always kept me on my toes.
It’s not like 16 year old me was exactly rolling in dough to be picky about choosing a first car. Granted, this was also before I really became a car person.

I have this exact picture as one of my desktop backgrounds at work and anyone who catches it says it’s an awesome car and I ask if they know what it is and pretty much everyone says Mustang. The handful that don’t say it looks like a Mustang but they don’t think it is one.
Well it’s not technically legal at the moment but penalizeing people for it isn’t enforced. The CHP had some rules posted on their website for how to do it safely but people viewed this as the CHP supporting it and they took the page down.

I’d rather see it between a mid 60’s vette versus a choked mid 70’s one. I think it’s a bit better comparison. Granted HP was measured differently (and generally inaccurately) in the 60’s
