So “needs props” is the airplane equivalent of something like “ran when parked” for cars?

Haha, that’s awesome but boy does that look like a terrible comparison.

I like the helicopter tracing the track...which had me thinking. Has any plane done a trace of the track? I’d imagine the red bull air race stunt planes could have a good go at it

Fixed that for you :)

I’ve done track days with Z2 and Keigwins. Z2 puts on really good events and are a great bunch of people. They have a lot of trainers hanging around that will follow you or lead you and give you some 1 on 1 instruction. I highly recommend them. My only complaint is all the trainers go out and rip around the later

I know these things...and it still blows my mind hah

Can you more easily get into trouble on a 600 than a 250/300? Yes

I don't know man. I've heard of goldwings and cruisers doing track days.

I love seeing unique stuff on the track :)

Awesome, let me know how it goes!

:)

Also, the track is just like a rollercoaster where you start on the ground and slowly start rising uphill until you hit the corkscrew and you lose almost all the height you gained in pretty much the next 2 corners.

Taking a quick glance at that stuff it looks ok (if a good bit on the protection side). The boots being overkill depends on how you want to use them (I think that pair is good tough). If you are gonna take them off and switch to shoes where ever you go they should do just fine. If you don't plan on changing out of

Oh ya, It's definitely one of my favorite tracks. To be honest, I think any track is going to be more fun on a motorcycle since they are small you have a ton more options with your lines.

I think 250/300's are great bike's to start with!

Oh, I totally understand why they aren't crashing. What I don't get is how they can take the corner that fast on what seems like the side of the tire (mainly the guy in the back). I know they warp and all that stuff but the contact patch looks non-existant

This was the first session post lunch so the track is a little more empty than it would normally be. You'll notice a bit more traffic towards the end of the session.

Oh ya, I also HIGHLY recommend looking into one of the Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) courses.

I'm also a scrub running a bone stock 636 on street tires and my main goal is to get home in one piece at the end of the day.

The way I look at motorcycle gear is it's a slider with protection on one end and covenience on the other end. You can't really get both. The weather you'll be riding in also plays a factor (seasons included).
